Fostering Hope - BucksSam is a great kid! He’s dealt with a lot over the last few years. Between kinship homes, group homes, and even a trial period reunification, he has found himself constantly moving. He is finally in a great spot, though! He’s with his maternal grandmother, and things are going really well! Sam loves his grandmother and has been a great help to her! He missed so much school in the past and is a bit behind. However, this hasn’t brought him down; he’s excited to work hard and keep growing!
Sam is passionate about playing basketball. Due to frequent relocations, he has never had the opportunity to join his school team. Now that he has settled in with his grandmother, he's thrilled to have the chance to play. Last week, he tried out for the high school team and successfully made it! He's ecstatic because he not only made the team but also secured a spot on the JV squad instead of just the 9th grade team. The only hitch is that he doesn't have proper basketball sneakers to wear!
