Storm came into foster care after her adoptive home did not work out. She has moved to other states and has been in and out of foster care for several years. Storm has remained a happy, outgoing, and determined child throughout this journey. She has continued to have good grades in school and tries her best to get along with others. Storm loves to play outside, read books, and do artwork. She is always willing to lend a helping hand and is a great addition to her foster family.

Healthy Roots dolls are made especially for children like Storm, who struggles with her identity and self-love for her hair. Storm dreams of having a doll that looks like her, especially with her changing hairstyles. This doll will allow Storm to grow a love for her hair and culture and find similarities in a family where she is the only African American.
