The Buckeye RanchEmily is a giggly little girl who has spent most of her life in foster care. Emily is very kind to everyone she meets, and she loves to help take care of her baby brother who is placed with her. Emily always has a smile on her face, and it's hard to be in a bad mood when you're around her! She loves to learn and takes every opportunity to use the world as her classroom.
Emily has really enjoyed getting to read books about foster care and different types of families during the years that she's been in foster care, but she has outgrown the books that she got when she was younger. This book, called Chloe's Special Family, is written for kids Emily's age and explains that families don't have to look alike or match, even though sometimes they do. Emily has recently found out that she won't be able to reunify with her biological family, so she is working through understanding what that means for her and her future. Emily is going to love this book because it will help her understand things better- plus, it's just an awesome book! Emily is such a bookworm, so this will be the perfect book for her to read!
