Emily is a giggly little girl who has spent most of her life in foster care. Emily is very kind to everyone she meets, and she loves to help take care of her baby brother who is placed with her. Emily always has a smile on her face, and it's hard to be in a bad mood when you're around her! She loves to learn and takes every opportunity to use the world as her classroom.

Emily has spent most of her life in foster care and has recently learned that she will not be able to reunify with her biological family. She has enjoyed reading books about families and foster care as she's grown up, but she has outgrown all of the books that she loved. Emily loves reading and will be excited to have another book that describes the different types of caregivers that may be referred to as "mama." She has struggled with loyalties, feelings of betrayal, and learning that she can love both her biological mother and her foster mother equally. The book "And That's Why She's My Mama" will be perfect to help her develop a more age-appropriate understanding of the different types of caregivers that can come into our lives.
