Nicki is an art student with a powerful story of resilience. Growing up with an abusive, addicted mother and constantly moving between her mother’s abusive relationships, Nicki was forced to take on responsibilities far beyond her years. After an eviction at age 14, she left home and has been on her own ever since. Throughout these challenges, art became her emotional outlet, allowing her to express feelings she could never share with the adults around her. Today, Nicki continues to use art as a therapeutic tool and hopes to pursue a career in the field, telling her story and inspiring others through her work.

Nicki has faced significant challenges throughout her life, growing up in an abusive home and becoming independent at just 14. Amidst these hardships, art has been her refuge—a powerful means for her to express emotions that she often struggled to articulate. Now, she dreams of using her talent to inspire others who may be experiencing similar struggles. However, she is currently in need of essential art supplies for her classes, resources she cannot afford. Providing her with these tools would enable Nicki to continue creating and pursuing her passion, empowering her to share her voice with the world.
