Kim entered the foster care system in October 2014. Subsequently, the parental rights of both parents were terminated as neither parent demonstrated the ability to appropriately care for her. She is in her 10th placement. The current foster home is stable and loving. She is awaiting independent living and has secured her first professional job as an assistant. She loves music, going to the movies, and doing her makeup with friends.

Kim has moved placements ten times now, but she is finally in a stable home with lots of support. Her resource family has been so helpful in teaching her all about work and responsibility. She has secured her first "grown-up" job as an assistant and wants to feel more professional and secure. She fell in love with the scents that a coworker was wearing and would love to have the same ones especially since the brand supports black-owned businesses. It would be the perfect gift since her birthday is just around the corner.
