Kayla is a young girl who struggled with self esteem issues at a young age. Now blooming into almost double digits Kayla is now interested in being a beautician just like her mother. She watches her mother do hair and nails and is always borrowing her mothers nail polish and hair brushes. Kayla is a cheerleader in school and is loved by her coaches and cheer mates.

Kayla and her brother Ahmad have shared a room since they were born, but soon they will be moving to new spaces. Kayla is excited about the change, especially the opportunity to decorate her own room. One thing she really needs is a new bed, and she recently found a beautiful platform bed that she believes will make her room feel just right.
