Like any other hardworking mom, she cherishes a quick nap when she can. Currently, Kayla works part-time as a home health aide, and she's hoping to find a full-time job soon. Kayla is currently without a permanent home after losing her previous one. As a result, she and her kids have been moving from place to place until they can find a stable residence.

Machalea has endured significant trauma that has brought financial challenges into her life. Despite these hardships, she deeply desires to create a safe and joyful environment for her son. He is a vibrant toddler who adores Mickey Mouse, and it breaks her heart to see him sleeping on a gifted bed that is splintered and unsafe. She worries every day about the potential injuries he could suffer while getting in and out of it. Machalea envisions a bright, cheerful toddler bed adorned with Mickey Mouse, where her son can feel secure and cherished. Giving him a special place to sleep would not only provide him with comfort but also help nurture his imagination and happiness.
