Melody is a sweet and caring girl in treatment foster care with her siblings. Despite her tough past of neglect and family violence, she is resilient and thriving in her foster environment. Athletic and spirited, she loves sports like basketball and soccer, as well as crafts and music. Melody maintains a strong bond with her siblings and has a hopeful outlook on life.

Melody has faced considerable neglect and trauma throughout her life, which has shaped her unique needs and characteristics. She possesses a vibrant energy and has various sensory requirements that guide her daily activities. Currently, she takes part in gymnastics once a week, a pursuit she truly enjoys. In addition to gymnastics, she finds joy in running, jumping, swinging, and dancing—activities that allow her to express herself and expend her abundant energy while practicing her gymnastics moves at home. Being homeschooled provides her with the flexibility to explore these interests, but having a dedicated tumbling mat would greatly enhance her learning environment. It would not only cater to her physical needs, allowing her to engage in active play during breaks, but also satisfy her sensory requirements, creating a safe space for her to practice and enjoy her movements throughout the day.
