J’La is a very sweet young lady. She recently went into guardianship, but then the guardianship dissolved, so she is back in foster care with her older sister. J’La never lets her life circumstances get in the way of her mood. She enjoys being active and going to the pool over the summer. She is always looking for opportunities to go out into the community. J’La is working at Amigos, which was her first job, and she said she enjoys working.

J’La was recently placed in foster care with her sister after her guardianship with her aunt was dissolved. As she adjusts to this new chapter in her life, she's focused on making her room feel like her own. One of the changes she wants to implement is adding blackout curtains, as she currently has none. These curtains will help her block out the bright morning light that often shines in her eyes when she wakes up, creating a more comfortable and personal space.
