Jayenick is a high school student who just moved to the US from Haiti at the beginning of the school year. Although she was in a new place, she was able to excel in her schoolwork and now looks to find a job that works around her schedule. While she is driven, she has no familial support and is currently in the care of DCPP (Department of Children and Families).

Not only would warm layers keep her cozy on her way to campus, but they are essential for braving the chilly waits at the bus stop, where every gust of wind feels like a reminder of the harsh elements.
