Joslyn lives in Brooklyn and has two children. Growing up in foster care, she never had a chance to learn how to drive. She takes public transportation in Brooklyn, but she would love the opportunity to learn how to drive. She just passed her permit test and is looking to start driving lessons and take her 5-hour mandatory course. She is also looking to take her road test once she learns to drive. She is so excited about this new opportunity in her quest for independence. Although Joslyn works, she supports two children and does not have the privilege of being able to pay for driving lessons. Joslyn also works for the NYC Parks Department and would like to be able to apply for another position with her driver's license.
