Dawn is a force to be reckoned with. Dawn entered care at 11 years old after losing her mom and sibling to a house fire. Through the adversity, Dawn has accelerated in life. At 15, she found her forever family and was adopted. Over the years, Dawn became active in sports to find a place to let out her anger in healthy ways. Dawn became active in football, wrestling, track and field, and taekwondo. Most recently, Dawn was invited to the state championship for wrestling. Dawn takes her education and natural ability to be a leader outside of sports seriously. She is actively engaged in culinary vocational school while being a standard high school student.

Dawn will be starting college in the fall. She is thrilled to live on campus and looks forward to personalizing her dorm room. She sees a future dorm room as a place that will reflect her personality, and she is excited to go shopping to create a space that feels uniquely hers. She plans to buy plants, inspirational quote boards, a whiteboard, and a cozy blanket. An Amazon gift card would allow her to start the school year on the right foot by creating a space that empowers her to study with confidence.
