Steven is a resilient young man who has experienced a lot of hardships in his young life. After a failed adoption and separation from his siblings, he is living in group care. This past year has been challenging as he has been moved from multiple group homes in just a few months. He continues to remain positive and he hopes to find a forever family.

Steven has recently transitioned to a new group home, leaving behind the familiar surroundings of his previous residence. Unfortunately, during the upheaval of the move, some personal belongings were taken by other youths living there, leaving him feeling unsettled. Among the stolen items were his beloved black Timberland boots, a gift that held special meaning for him as they were given to him before he entered the foster care system. These boots were not just footwear for Steven; they represented a connection to happier times and a sense of identity. Eager to reclaim a piece of that connection and to present himself well at school and his new job, Steven hopes to replace the cherished shoes that he had looked forward to wearing with pride.
