Machalea is a strong single mother of three children who has faced many challenges, including experiencing homelessness. Even through these difficulties, she continues to stay positive and focused on building a better life for her family. She really enjoys spending time outdoors with her kids, whether it’s going for walks or taking small road trips together. These moments mean a lot to her and bring her joy. She also loves to sing, which is something that makes her feel happy and relaxed. Her favorite color is blue, which reflects her calm and hopeful personality. Machalea works part-time as a home health aide, a job she truly cares about because she enjoys helping and caring for elderly people. Through her hard work, love for her children, and determination, she continues to push forward toward a brighter future.

Machalea is in the process of moving and wants to create a comfortable and inviting space for her daughter’s bedroom. With her little one quickly growing out of the toddler bed, she is looking to transition to a Montessori bed. This type of bed will encourage her daughter's independence and self-sufficiency while keeping her safe, as it is low to the ground, eliminating concerns about her falling out during the night.
