Jax is a sweet boy whose smile lights up the room. Like most children his age, he loves Paw Patrol, Cocomelon, and Sesame Street. However, Jax is different because he has been diagnosed with autism, a sensory disorder, and a speech delay. For him, every day is a struggle to find ways to communicate with his family in a way they can understand. Jax experienced a breakthrough when he spoke his first word at the age of five; his first word was "mama."

Jax is a remarkable child with autism. He is truly one of the sweetest kids you could ever meet. Until he was five years old, Jax was nonverbal, and then, on that special day, he uttered his first words: "Mama." His mother was overjoyed. Currently, Jax's mom is facing serious financial challenges. Her car has recently been repossessed, and her rent is overdue. She has no income because caring for Jax is a full-time job; he requires constant therapy and medical appointments. She is in the process of applying for disability benefits for him, while her husband struggles with a very low income. Both parents feel deeply saddened by their circumstances. Despite the hardships, Jax’s mom cares only about ensuring her son has a joyful Christmas. Jax loves toys, especially light-up toys and cars, and his mother has chosen the perfect gift for him. If he can open this present on Christmas morning, it will bring the biggest smile to his face.
