Aubrie was born prematurely and was exposed to substances in utero. As a result, she is small for her age and is behind on some developmental milestones. Her nickname, "La Muñeca," reflects her doll-like appearance. Fortunately, she lives with her loving grandmother, uncles, and aunt who provide her with plenty of support. Every day, Aubrie makes progress in her development; by 10 months old, she has learned to crawl and pull herself up. Although she cannot speak yet, she is beginning to communicate using sounds and gestures.
