Naima is located about 2 miles away from the Palisades Fire that started to come over the hill last night. The smoke and ash are worsening in the air outside her window and inside of her apartment. Naima hasn't left her apartment since Tuesday because of how scared she has been, but she is now in need of supplies. This Target gift card will help Naima to purchase an air purifier, fire blanket, emergency aid kit, and food.
Naima is 20 years old and lives in CA
Naima navigated a complex childhood in foster care and, after she aged out, went straight to college, where she now holds an Associate Degree in marketing. Naima just recently launched her own candle business and is passionate about helping other women who have experienced foster care and adversity find their peace. Naima is fluent in Haitian Creole, English, and French and loves to spend her free time learning new things, cooking, and making candles!
