She currently works as a Community Resource Navigator at A Sense of Home while pursuing her master’s degree in social work. Elvira aspires to start her own nonprofit organization and eventually earn her PhD, demonstrating her commitment to creating meaningful change for those in need. Outside of her professional life, she enjoys cooking, drawing, and spending quality time with her daughter, Nova, who brings her immense joy and motivation. Elvira wishes for a new TV to put in her living room for herself and her daughter, Nova. Last week, her TV, which was 6 years old, suddenly stopped working. She often turns on the TV while cooking to keep Nova occupied. They watch bedtime stories together before Nova goes to her room, and it provides Elvira a chance to unwind and relax after Nova falls asleep while catching up on her favorite reality shows. This wish is significant for Elvira, as she grew up in over 30 different foster care placements and now has a forever home with her daughter. Getting a replacement TV will help Elvira and her sweet girl get back to their normal routines and restore a little joy to their evenings.
