Hanna spent nine years in the foster care system. Her biggest challenges were feelings of loneliness and worthlessness. Growing up, she often saw her classmates talking about their homes and family outings, which made her crave the stability and sense of belonging that a family could provide. She frequently struggled with comparing herself to others, questioning why she wasn't "good enough" to have a "normal" family. During her time in foster care, Hanna found joy in physical exercise and spending time outdoors. Self-care activities also brought her comfort. Cultivating friendships with people who took the time to understand her circumstances helped alleviate some of her burdens. Hanna is most proud of being accepted into an accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program in California. Although her foster care experience could have been better, she persevered and recently graduated with her BSN, becoming a licensed registered nurse (RN)!

Hanna is a cheerful new nurse excited to work in women’s health! She genuinely cares about her patients and wants to give them the best support possible. However, there’s a small challenge in her mornings—her love for good coffee clashes with her budget. If only she could have a great coffee machine to brew the perfect cup! With a delicious coffee, Hanna would be ready to tackle the day and focus on her patients. Adding a simple coffee ritual to her morning would turn it into an energizing experience.
