Elena was emancipated from the foster care system at age 18 and immediately went to college to pursue her bachelor's degree. Shortly before the pandemic, she faced some life challenges that forced her to put a hold on her college career and begin working full-time. Elena is passionate about working with kids, and her dream is to become a pediatrician.

Elena is thrilled about her new apartment and has finally settled in. However, one area that is still incomplete is the dining room. Elena loves to cook but she currently has no where to eat, so she has been eating on a large book on top of her bed. She also loves to host her brother and sister for dinner, but she hasn’t been able to invite them over yet because she doesn’t have a table and chairs. Elena wishes for a folding leaf table that will fit perfectly in her small apartment, allowing her to finally host her own dinners and serve as a dual desk for her to get work done during the day when she is not eating. The great thing about this table is that it folds and rolls, so she can easily store it away when needed. Having a functional space means everything to Elena, as she grew up in a cluttered and unstable environment that didn’t allow her to enjoy her living space.
