Ka’Melle was removed from her biological father because he had dropped her off at the hospital due to concerns about suicidal thoughts. However, the hospital did not admit Ka’Melle because there were no signs of suicidal behavior, and they called her father to pick her up. He did not answer the phone, so the hospital contacted DHHS. She currently lives with her grandmother and aunt. In her free time, Ka'Melle enjoys watching movies. She also likes to learn. In addition to reading books, she enjoys watching documentaries about people's lives to understand different backgrounds and ethnicities.

Ka'Melle enjoys spending time at home with her grandmother and aunt. She is a focused teenager who loves to learn every day. For her birthday, she would love to have a TV to provide her with some form of entertainment. Recently, she has been enjoying doing her own nails and would like to watch tutorials to enhance her skills. Ka'Melle also plans to use the TV to listen to music while styling her hair or working on her arts and crafts projects. Having a TV in her room would give her something to do at home aside from her homework. Due to an open investigation into allegations of abuse, the police department confiscated her phone and iPad. She feels bored at home because she can't hang out with friends. With a TV of her own, she would be able to watch movies in her bedroom. The foster home only has one TV, which is in the living room, and Ka'Melle's grandmother usually occupies that space.
