Jayanna has been in foster care since she was 5 years old. Her journey has involved taking care of herself and her brother while moving between several foster homes and foster groups and staying with various family members and friends. Although she and her brother are no longer living together, Jayanna remains optimistic about being reunited with him. She is attending cosmetology and is looking for employment. She is known for being sweet, lovable, respectful, and happy, always ready to help others. Jayanna has a big heart and is very forgiving. She enjoys dancing, making TikToks, cooking, and watching the show Hell's Kitchen. Jayanna is working hard to achieve independence as she navigates independent living. Her dream is to become a traveling hair stylist and work with celebrities such as basketball player Angel Reese, and rappers Cardi B and Latto.

Jayanna is proud of her newfound independence and takes great pride in her apartment. This is her first time living alone, and safety is very important to her. She has already taken initial steps by purchasing an indoor camera and believes that using a door security bar, along with a home security system and camera, will provide her with complete security as a young woman living alone. Since she does not have a car, she wants to ensure she is safe walking home from school and work each night.
