Violet spent three years in the system and did not receive any services after she was emancipated. Taking matters into her own hands, she decided to return to school to earn her diploma. But she didn’t stop there! Violet continued to push for her education and graduated with her Bachelor’s degree. While in college, she participated in a work-study program with the Guardian Scholars and enjoyed giving back to the foster youth community. Violet hopes to find a career that allows her to work with at-risk youth. Additionally, she is a small business owner who creates handmade moon phase intention-based candles and other products. Her dream is to attend graduate school for post-secondary education so that she can work with Guardian Scholars programs in community colleges.

Violet's car is currently in need of significant maintenance. One of the most urgent issues is the driver’s seatbelt, which poses a major safety risk for her while driving. The seatbelt does not click into place on its own, leaving her without proper security. Violet has consulted a mechanic who provided her with a quote for the repair costs. Unfortunately, she cannot afford to pay for both the parts and the labor. Her wish is for a seatbelt so she can cover just the labor costs.
