Corey is a dedicated foster youth who is striving for greater independence every day. Despite facing numerous stressors in life, he continues to demonstrate resilience. Recently, Corey started working full-time, but he has been unable to work for the past two weeks due to a medical emergency. He also had a new roommate in his foster housing program, but that arrangement did not work out due to safety concerns. The housing program was able to remove the remote, but unfortunately, the roommate stole all of Corey’s cookware and dining ware, and he does not have the financial means to replace them since he has been out of work. As a result, Corey currently lacks the resources to cook and would appreciate the opportunity to have that option back in his life.
