Makeya entered foster care following the sudden death of her parents. Despite facing the challenges and uncertainties of foster care, she has remained hopeful, positive, and determined to make the best of her life. In her free time, Makeya enjoys reading and engaging in physical activities. Although she is unsure about her career path after school, she has expressed a desire to become a counselor to help other kids who have experienced similar situations.

Whether she's running at her local YMCA, enjoying a peaceful jog outdoors, or simply taking a walk around town to clear her mind, she finds that staying active helps her feel more focused and balanced. Makeya appreciates the calming effect of slowing down and taking in the world around her. To make it easier to stay active while managing her busy schedule, she is interested in getting an under-desk walking treadmill. This would allow her to walk while doing homework or watching her favorite movies, helping her stay on track with her fitness goals without sacrificing productivity or relaxation.
