PivotalAndrea, a former foster youth, is a caring, artistic, and passionate person who is transitioning from a caregiving role to a state of peaceful independence. She deeply loves her brothers and her roommates. One of Andrea's love languages is cooking, as she enjoys preparing delicious meals from scratch for those around her. She plans to look for work before returning to college next spring. In her free time, Andrea often paints captivating landscape art that depicts the night sky, finding the creative process to be a healing experience.
Andrea has come a long way from caring for her younger siblings to living independently. Andrea was connected to our agency as a former foster youth who needed resources and coaching while they established career, academic, and personal goals. Unfortunately, one part-time job will not be enough for her to make the rent after her rate was increased. Andrea lives in a rural area and will need transportation to get to town for job interviews. A Lyft gift card will go a long way to help Andrea get to her interviews for a florist position.
