San Diego Youth ServicesAlurah is one of the sweetest people you'll ever meet. She is also incredibly resilient. Having gone through foster care, she has thrived and worked hard to create a better life for herself. She is a full-time environmental studies student and a truly bright light.
Alurah loves building things. She uses the time and patience to center and ground herself when she can. Whether it is models or puzzles, having a goal to complete to make something out of it, brings her peace and happiness. Because of that, she loves Legos. She has a collection of the ones she has built and loves showing them off. Alurah is asking for a Lego set for her birthday. She mentioned that this was something she wanted, and it would mean a lot to get it. To have her use a gift for both her joy and peace of mind would mean a lot to her.
