Recently, she celebrated a personal milestone by moving into her own apartment, where she happily resides with her adorable puppy. In addition to her studies and new home, Shavon is also in the process of adopting one of her nephews, ensuring that he stays out of foster care. This is truly an exciting and transformative time in her life!
After experiencing the challenges of growing up in the foster care system, Shavon made a promise to herself: no child in her family would ever have to face that journey alone. When her infant relative was born, she stepped in without hesitation, raising him as her own from day one. Now, as she begins the emotional process of legally adopting him, Shavon wants to capture every powerful, life-changing moment of their journey. A new video camera would allow her to document their incredible story. This will be a story of unconditional love and the true meaning of family.
