Abby has been really flourishing in her foster home! It looks like she won’t be heading back to her family anytime soon, but her foster parents are doing everything they can to help her feel comfortable and loved. With her 9th birthday coming up, they’re letting her redo her room, and she’s thrilled about it! She’s getting a loft bed, which she absolutely loves. This new setup will also free up some space on the floor for when her sister visits on weekends, since they’re both in different kinship homes right now. To make her space feel more personal, Abby and her foster mom had a great time picking out a gorgeous shade of purple for the walls. Abby also wanted bedding that zips up, which matches the purple and has rainbows on it. She’s really looking forward to how easy it will be to change her sheets and make her bed on the top bunk. Just the thought of zipping up her bed each morning makes her excited, knowing it will be cozy and welcoming for her at nighttime!
