Abigail and her sister were recently placed with a compassionate non-relative caregiver. Although the caregiver is providing a stable and nurturing environment, she is currently not receiving a monthly board rate to support the girls’ care. While weekday daycare is covered, Abigail and her sister also attend daycare on Saturdays. Their caregiver is in need of temporary assistance with Saturday daycare fees so she can maintain her work schedule and meet her 40-hour requirement. She’s asking for help for a few Saturdays, just until the board rate is finalized or until ELC can extend coverage. Abigail's caregiver is deeply committed to her and her sister with a sincere desire to adopt them, providing the permanent, loving home they so deeply deserve.

Abigail and her sister were taken into care due to serious abuse concerns in their mother’s home. They first lived with their grandmother, but had to move again when she was unable to care for them. Now, they are with a caring non-relative caregiver. Abigail has a strong bond with her sister that brings her comfort. Despite her difficult experiences, Abigail is remarkably resilient, joyful, affectionate, and open-hearted.
