Mary is a young mother who came to this country and entered foster care at the age of 16. Her son still lives in her native country, and she misses him dearly. They regularly FaceTime, allowing her to stay connected with him. Currently, she is part of the extended foster care program and is actively learning the English language. Mary remains hopeful that she will reunite with her son one day, and she aspires to become a surgeon in the future.

Mary is currently making positive lifestyle changes, especially in her diet. She is focused on eating healthier meals to prevent stomach discomfort and support her overall well-being. To assist her on this journey, Mary would greatly appreciate a grocery gift card, which would allow her to select new, nutritious foods to try. This was divided up so that she can fill her pantry.
