Hailie has faced many challenges while growing up. Her family relocated to Canada during her middle school years, and when she turned 18, her parents kicked her out, leaving her without a place to stay. Hailie then moved to Nebraska, where she accessed various services to help her develop skills for adulthood. She has worked on obtaining her GED, secured her own housing, and found employment.

Hailie is excited about her first job and treasures the independence it brings her. However, she faces a challenge when it comes to transportation. She needs a motorized scooter to reliably commute to work, as her schedule doesn’t allow her to take the bus, and using Uber or Lyft can quickly become costly. Having a motorized scooter, along with a helmet for safety, will not only help her maintain her employment but will also enable her to travel to the center for her GED studies.
