Alana, who has been in and out of foster care since age 11 due to an abusive home, found stability with a caring foster family. However, after the home became too crowded, she ended up sleeping in her car and staying in motels. She has now joined a transitional living program, putting her pride aside to seek help. A skilled and hard-working young lady, Alana enjoys crafts and educational conversations. To relieve stress, she goes for drives, listens to music, and takes walks. Alana aspires to become a 911 dispatcher and is actively working toward that goal.

Alana has faced challenges from a young age but has always kept a positive attitude. After trying to help her mother and experiencing homelessness, she signed herself back into care and moved into a transitional living program. Despite the chaos, she graduated high school, bought a car, and worked two jobs at once, becoming the first in her family to pursue college. Although she initially dropped out to focus on work, she's now ready to return to school and will start a 911 emergency dispatcher program this summer. An iPad would help her organize notes and study on the go, serving as a valuable tool to enhance her academic journey and help her thrive.
