CEDARS Youth ServicesChristian was removed from his parents' home due to extreme neglect, as well as physical and verbal abuse. Throughout his childhood, he has always put the needs of his siblings first, often sacrificing his own well-being to provide for them. He took on the responsibility of paying rent and supporting his family when his parents would not. Currently, Christian is living with a friend's parents and has been working hard to establish his adult life. He has recently acquired a car and secured a better-paying job. As part of a work-study program, he attends high school to complete his senior year in the mornings and then works in the afternoons and evenings. In addition to his studies and job, Christian is a student-athlete and attends a youth group with his brothers every week. He plans to attend college in the fall to pursue a career as a police officer.
Christian loves fishing and spends a lot of his free time enjoying it. He recently purchased a small fishing boat with money he had saved up. He enjoys going fishing with his brothers and his girlfriend. A good backpack would be helpful for him to store all the gear he has collected while learning to fish. Christian works hard at his job, and fishing helps him relax once he is off work. When he goes to college, having a backpack would also be beneficial, as it would allow him to keep all his fishing equipment organized in one place.
