Jose's favorite color is red. He has a deep love for animals and once had a bird as a pet. In addition to this, Jose is incredibly creative and enjoys painting and drawing. He is also an Unaccompanied Refugee Minor (URM). He came to the United States when he was 11 years old and spent several months in a detention facility before being moved to a foster group home in California. Originally from Guatemala, Jose is painfully shy but has managed to learn some English. Recently, Jose's legal status changed, requiring him to move to Texas. He is very sad to have left everything behind once again.

Jose is playing baseball this spring and would love to receive some new baseball gear for his birthday. He especially needs a new glove, ball, and pants. Plus, he'd like to get some new cleats to perform at his best. Jose would be very excited to receive these items for his birthday. This is wish 1 of 2.
