Khylen was removed from his home after his twin brother was hospitalized due to unexplained injuries. While Khylen does not seem to have experienced the same level of abuse as his brother, he has witnessed a significant amount of abuse and domestic violence. He is a quiet boy who is hesitant to try new things and feels safest when he is with his siblings. Khylen enjoys watching movies and listening to audiobooks, and it will be a joy to see him learn about the world around him as he becomes more comfortable.

Khylen and his brothers often huddle together to ensure each other's safety. They have experienced a lot of violence in the home they just left. Now, they are with a cousin who is helping them process their fight-or-flight instincts. Having a little castle tent at home would be beneficial, providing them with a quiet place to retreat to as they adjust to their new surroundings.
