Edward is an incredible young man who faced significant challenges when he was placed in a group home, separated from his two younger brothers. Adjusting to life in the group home was tough for him, and he even attempted to leave a couple of times. Fortunately, Edward has since been placed in a kinship home where he can live with his siblings once again. A passionate student, Edward truly loves school and excels in athletics. He has a particular fondness for football and basketball, having previously played for an AAU Basketball League before entering foster care. Committed to his future, Edward is focused on graduating high school and pursuing collegiate sports, with aspirations to play basketball or football. Additionally, he has plans to join the military after graduation, showcasing his determination and drive for success.

Edward's birthday is coming up soon, and he recently studied for and passed his driver’s permit exam. He plans to obtain his driver’s license before he turns 18. Edward enjoys playing video games and streaming online, and he has won several gaming tournaments. He recently bought a new gaming computer using money he saved from working part-time cutting grass. For his birthday, Edward has asked for a new gaming headset to complement his new computer. Birthday gifts can offer a sense of normalcy, especially for Edward, who has experienced trauma and hasn't celebrated a birthday in over 10 years.
