Alicia is a young woman who has unfortunately fallen through the cracks of the foster care system. Feeling forgotten, she struggles with her self-worth and the coping skills typical of young adults. After being moved around repeatedly for years, Alicia has never truly learned the meaning of stability or the essentials of becoming an independent adult. Despite her challenges, she is a sweet and polite young lady who is eager to please and willing to do anything you ask of her. She is simply looking for someone to give her a chance in the short time she has left in care before she must fend for herself.

Alicia is requesting a toaster to add to her apartment. Unfortunately, the transitional living program she is in does not cover this basic household necessity. Having a toaster will allow Alicia to prepare quick and healthy breakfasts in the mornings. It will also be a valuable item she can take with her once she transitions out of care, providing her with a head start on essential household items that everyone should have.
