Shay has not received a new mattress since entering foster care, and she also needs a new bed frame, as her current one is broken and continues to deteriorate where the mattress rests. Despite never complaining about her situation, she genuinely requires a new bed. Although she is working a lot, she barely makes enough to cover her basic bills, so buying a bed has not been a priority for her. Having a sturdy new bed frame would ensure that she can rest well and feel her best at work.
