Michael is a bright and upbeat young man who spreads joy to everyone around him. Despite facing some tough times, including being in foster care, he always shows incredible strength and kindness. Now that he’s in a more stable home, he’s excited to enjoy being a kid again. He loves basketball and spends a lot of time practicing his shots and moves on the court, where he feels happy and confident. Michael also enjoys gaming, where he can dive into new adventures and connect with friends, helping him build friendships and a sense of belonging.

Michael is asking for a second pair of shoes to complement the first pair of Nike shoes he hopes to receive for his birthday. He has never had the chance to choose shoes he truly loves, and this year he wants options so he doesn’t wear out one pair too quickly. Michael is both thoughtful and practical; he understands that having a second pair will help his new shoes last longer and provide him with choices for different activities, whether he’s on the basketball court or at school with his friends.
