Diego is a great kid who is striving to make a difference in any way he can. He plans to attend a technical career center to earn his barber license through school to get a jump start on adulthood. However, that is not the only thing Diego does; he also wrestles on the school team and is a very involved and active member of both the Local Youth Advisory Board for our area and State Youth Advisory Board, where he is thinking of running for office this summer.

Diego has started his first adult job at the county road department, where he is required to wear steel-toe work boots for safety while mowing ditches and performing other tasks. He is currently in an independent living program, learning to live on his own, and does not have the funds to buy a good pair of boots. His current shoes have already developed holes, which is a concern for his job. A durable pair of steel-toe boots would greatly help him in completing his work safely and effectively.
