Malakai, known as "Kai," is an energetic, loving, and kind young boy who has faced a lot of hardship in his early years. Despite experiencing frequent transitions and uncertainty, Kai continues to share his happiness with others—he truly loves life! He enjoys spending time outdoors, exploring new places, and has a particular fascination with dinosaurs and monster trucks. Kai's remarkable ability to spread positivity and joy to those around him is especially inspiring, given all that he has been through.

Kai would benefit from using a cozy pea pod to support his emotional regulation and provide him with a safe, calming space when he feels sad, angry, frustrated, or even when he is calm. He struggles with self-regulation, especially when there are changes to his daily schedule, when his brother upsets him, or when he becomes overstimulated. The pea pod would help Kai develop coping strategies to regain focus and emotional balance, while also giving him a space that he can call his own.
