Removed from her family at a young age, she faced unimaginable trauma but often felt unheard and judged by those meant to help her. Despite the challenges, Mya developed resilience and strength. She finds joy in simple pleasures, like braiding hair and cooking, and prioritizes her three children’s well-being above all else. Playing video games with her oldest son brings them closer and creates cherished memories. Mya's unwavering dedication to her family and her determination to thrive, despite her past, define her. She has chosen to raise her children with love and hope, refusing to let her experiences in the foster care system define her.

Mya is a hardworking mother trying to make her new apartment feel like home for her kids. One of her biggest wishes is to have a couch where her family can relax, bond, and spend time together. After dealing with housing instability, Mya wants to create a sense of normalcy and comfort for her children. A couch would give them a place to sit and read, watch movies, share laughs, and feel at home. Mya would be very thankful for the chance to turn her living room into a true sanctuary for her family.
