Brie is a kind, empathetic, and creative young woman whose journey has been shaped by both hardship and hope. After losing her grandmother—the person who raised her, made her feel safe, and was her best friend—Brie entered the foster care system, feeling lost and alone. Despite the challenges, she has grown into a resilient and compassionate individual who finds strength through her faith and her love of the arts. Now that she has aged out of foster care, Brie is excited to pursue her college degree and share her passion for the performing arts, particularly opera and musical theatre. Music has always been a source of healing and expression for her, and while she loves performing, her ultimate dream is to become a therapist for young children. Brie hopes to create a safe, nurturing environment where children who have experienced trauma can feel seen, heard, and supported—just as she once needed. In her free time, Brie enjoys singing worship music and reading her Bible, drawing inspiration and peace from her faith as she continues to grow into the woman she was meant to be.

Brie has been in foster care since her mother passed away when she was a young teenager, and there is no other family to care for her. She is currently living in transitional housing for former foster youth. Her laptop recently stopped working, and even though she has just been hired to work in a library, she does not start for another month. In order to complete her schoolwork, she needs a laptop but cannot afford to buy one at this time. She would be very grateful for any help in obtaining a laptop so she can keep up with her classes.
