Cookie is a strong and determined young girl facing tough challenges rooted in her difficult past, including experiences of domestic violence. She may have ADHD and high-functioning autism and is currently receiving early intervention. These struggles heighten her feelings of shame, which impact her self-confidence. Despite these obstacles, Cookie’s inner strength shines through, especially in her passion for singing and her dreams of attending dance school. Her advanced abilities set her apart, showcasing her unique talents. Additionally, she finds joy and comfort in drawing and playing with her older sister, activities that provide her a sense of happiness amidst her struggles.

Cookie is a strong little girl with autism. When she feels upset, she finds water play to be very soothing. Cookie's mother wants to set up a water table in the backyard for her to play with, as it will help meet her sensory needs. This water table will be just what she needs to keep cool while playing outside!
