Rudi spent seven years in the foster care system, where she worked hard to overcome the challenges of lacking a support system and dealing with her anger. Despite feeling abandoned by her parents, Rudi discovered strength and determination within herself, learning to care for both herself and her brother. Throughout her hardships, she found comfort in her relationship with her aunt and in taking long walks alone to reflect on her thoughts. Rudi is incredibly proud of earning her place in college and dreams of opening a restaurant while advocating for foster youth.

Rudi has been approved for her first apartment after aging out of the foster care system. Throughout her years in foster care, she has always wanted a place to call home. Now that she finally has one, Rudi is excited to create a comfortable and inviting space for herself. She wishes for a queen-size quilt for her bed. The vibrant colors and fun pattern of the quilt will brighten up her apartment and ensure it feels like home.
