Rudi spent seven years in the foster care system, where she worked hard to overcome the challenges of lacking a support system and dealing with her anger. Despite feeling abandoned by her parents, Rudi discovered strength and determination within herself, learning to care for both herself and her brother. Throughout her hardships, she found comfort in her relationship with her aunt and in taking long walks alone to reflect on her thoughts. Rudi is incredibly proud of earning her place in college and dreams of opening a restaurant while advocating for foster youth.

Rudi has just moved into her first apartment after aging out of the foster care system. Throughout the challenges Rudi faced over the years, she found comfort in cooking. Now that she has her own place to call home, Rudi is excited to use her very own kitchen. She hopes to get a set of kitchen utensils to begin cooking in her new home.
