Kyle is currently participating in an extended foster care program, which allows him to stay until he turns 23. As a college student, he is dedicated to overcoming various challenges while pursuing his education in a building construction program, with aspirations of becoming a general contractor in the future. Kyle's journey in foster care began at the age of 14 when his aunt was no longer able to care for him, and his parents have never been a part of his life. He spent his teenage years in a group home until he turned 18. Despite the obstacles he has faced, Kyle remains hopeful and optimistic about his future. When he’s not studying, he stays active by playing basketball, football, and boxing. He treasures the connections he has with friends, often catching up through FaceTime, and finds joy in unwinding with video games. Kyle's positive attitude and zest for life are truly inspiring.

Kyle is taking a Life Science class this summer at the community college. This is his first college course, and while he’s very nervous, he’s also excited about it. The class requires an access code, which is necessary to log into the course, view the online textbook, and complete the assignments. Unfortunately, Kyle believed he had submitted the correct financial aid form for the summer session, but he accidentally submitted the one for fall. As a result, he currently has no way to pay for the book, and this has been a major source of stress for him. Having this wish granted would help Kyle complete his assignments and pass the class and boost his confidence as he begins his college journey.
