Clothes shopping for Matt who is living on his own
Matt, 18 years old, FL

Florida Foster Care ReviewMatt is a responsible and kind-hearted former foster youth who loves anime and spending time with friends. He stays in touch with his family in another state and hopes to move closer to them after graduating. Although he doesn’t want to be adopted, he values his family connections and encourages his younger brother to move with his adoptive family for stability. While his brother experiences separation for the first time, their strong bond drives Matt’s desire to maintain connections with those he loves most.
Matt has just aged out of foster care and is entering his final year of high school. After years of uncertainty and multiple placements, he’s finally getting the chance to live independently through extended foster care. It’s his first time setting up a space of his own, which is a major milestone filled with both excitement and challenge. Along the way, he’s lost many of his belongings, including clothes, and as he's continued to grow, much of what he does have no longer fits. Right now, he’s in need of clothing that not only meets his day-to-day needs but also helps him feel confident, comfortable, and prepared for this new chapter. A Walmart gift card will enable him to build a wardrobe that reflects his independence and gives him the confidence to tackle his senior year and beyond. This request has been split into two wishes to allow for a great shopping trip! This is wish 2 of 2.
